1. Body condition is very important because the value of the whole car depends on it. Repairing a damaged body or a body that has not been maintained is much more difficult than repairing mechanical components. Body cavities, such as the inner fender and engine bay mudguards, are equally important, although they don't require as much attention as the rest of the bodywork.
2. Once a year or every 12,000 miles, it is recommended to clean the underbody with a hot pressure washer. All traces of dirt, oils will be removed and the underside of the bodywork can be carefully inspected for damage to brake lines, wiring, cables, etc.
3. At the same time, clean the engine and engine compartment with a water-soluble degreaser.
4. The body should be washed as needed. Wet the car thoroughly with water to soften the dirt, then wash it off with a soft sponge and plenty of water.
5. Resin or asphalt stains should be removed with a solvent-soaked cloth.
6. Once every six months, carry out a thorough treatment of the body with a polish.
