Removal the lock cylinder and the outer handle of the front door (Chevrolet Lacetti J200)

We remove the door lock cylinder and the outer handle of the front door for replacement. Before starting work, the door glass should be moved to the upper position. We remove the front door trim (see Removal the front door trim).

The moisture-proof film can be peeled off only from the upper part of the door. The lock cylinder can be removed without dismantling the entire outer handle.



By releasing the locking device of the cylinder rod, you can remove only the cylinder of the lock, and by additionally releasing the locking device of the handle rod, you can dismantle the entire outer handle.



To remove the cylinder, use a 10 mm head to unscrew bolt 1, and to remove the outer handle, additionally unscrew bolt 2.





We remove the door lock cylinder



and the outside handle of the front door.

We install the outer handle in the reverse order.
