Removal the lock, lock cylinder mechanism, outer and inner front door handles (Chevrolet Lanos T150)

We carry out the work when replacing the lock, its cylinder mechanism, external and internal door handles.

Remove the front door trim (see Removal the front door trim) and a protective film (see Removal the front door glass).

We connect the wiring block of the window lifter motor-reducer with the wiring block of the switch block and raise the window.

Using a screwdriver, press the plastic clamps of the two rods…

…and disconnect rod 1 from the lever of the cylinder mechanism of the lock and rod 2 from the lever…


…and disconnect rod 1 from the lever of the cylinder mechanism of the lock and rod 2 from the lever of the outer handle.

Using a 10 mm socket with an extension, unscrew the two bolts securing the outer handle…

The cylinder mechanism of the lock can be replaced without removing the outer handle.

To remove the door lock, disconnect the rods from the lever of the lock cylinder mechanism and the lever of the outer door handle (see above).

…we move the retainer away from the rod and disconnect the rod from the lock.

Similarly, we disconnect the other rod of the inner handle from the lock.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws securing the door lock…

…and we take it out together with the central lock switch and two rods of the outer handle through…

After pressing the lock, we disconnect the wiring harness block from the central lock switch.

To disconnect the cylinder mechanism rod of the lock…

…we use a screwdriver to press the plastic rod retainer…

To remove the inner door handle, disconnect its two rods from the lock (see above).

We remove both rods of the inner door handle from the grooves of the plastic holder.

We install the door lock, the cylinder mechanism of the lock, the outer and inner handles in the reverse order.

Before installing the door trim, check the functionality of the door lock mechanism.


If the outer door handle does not work correctly, you should adjust the length of its rod by rotating the plastic rod holder.
