
Disconnect the wire tip from the lock limit switch.

By turning the lock, we disconnect the lock drive rod from the lever of the lock cylinder mechanism.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the lock to the trunk lid.

We remove the lock together with the rod.

Using a 10 mm socket head, unscrew the two nuts securing the lock cylinder mechanism bracket to the trunk lid…

…and take out the mechanism together with the bracket. Remove the rear panel trim (see Removal the rear bumper)

We mark the position of the lock latch bracket relative to the rear panel.

Using a 10 mm socket or wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the lock latch bracket to the rear panel. Remove the trunk lock latch through the window in the rear panel.

We remove the end of the lock drive cable sheath from the holder on the latch bracket.

We disconnect the cable end from the lever and remove the latch.
We install the trunk lock and the lock latch in the reverse order.
