To remove the trunk lid lock, perform the following steps.
1. Remove the trunk lid trim ("Removal and installation the trunk lid trim").
2. Remove the two screws securing the lock...
3. ...and remove the lock from the trunk lid.
4. Press the latch...
5. ...and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the lock.
6. Use a screwdriver to press the tabs of the inner trunk lid opening handle cable holder...
7. ...and remove the holder from the hole...
8. ...then remove the lock completely.
9. Install all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
To remove the trunk lid latch perform the following operations.
1. Use a screwdriver to pry up and remove the decorative trim of the trunk lid latch, overcoming the resistance of the four spring holders.
2. Unscrew the two mounting bolts and remove the latch.
3. Install the trunk lid latch in the reverse order of removal.
Note: If necessary, adjust the locking clarity by moving the latch and loosening its mounting bolts.
To remove the trunk lid opening button perform the following operations.
1. Remove the trunk lid trim ("Removal and installation the trunk lid trim").
2. Remove the trunk lid trim.
3. Use a screwdriver to pry...
4. ...and remove the opening key from the decorative cover.
5. Pass the key through the hole in the overlay.
6. Turn the license plate light socket...
7. ...and remove the cartridge.
8. Remove the second cartridge in the same way.
9. Remove the wire harness from the holders on the trim...
10. ...and remove the wiring harness with the key and license plate light sockets,
11. Install all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
