Door lock latch (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

Warning: If both latch mounting bolts are removed at the same time, the latch reinforcement plate will fall into the body cavity. This will result in additional repair time.

1. Loosen the lower latch mounting bolt. Tightening torque 25 Nm.



2. Loosen the top latch bolt so that the latch and adjusting spacer can be rotated until the bottom bolt hole is clear.

3. Install and tighten the bottom bolt. The bottom bolt will now hold the latch reinforcement plate. Tightening torque is 25 N·m.

4. Loosen the upper latch bolt. Tightening torque 25 Nm.

5. Remove the spacer.

6. Remove the latch.

Installation

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
