Door window lifter — removal and installation (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

1. Raise and secure the glass.

2. Remove the door trim panel.

3. Remove the door seal.

4. Disconnect the window lift motor wiring connector.

5. Unscrew the two bolts securing the glass to the window regulator frame.

6. Loosen the window regulator frame mounting bolts.



7. Remove the window regulator. On the front door, bend both sides of the window regulator frame slightly.

Installation

1. Install the window regulator onto the door frame. It may require a slight twisting motion.

2. Make sure the window regulator is seated correctly.

3. Apply locking adhesive to the threads of the stabilizer mounting bolts. Install and tighten the bolts. Tightening torque 9 N·m.



4. Install the glass onto the window regulator frame.

5. Install the glass mounting bolts, tighten the bolts. Tightening torque 9 Nm.

6. Connect the electric motor wiring connector and check the operation of the window regulator.

7. Install the door seal.

8. Install the trim panel.
