1. Remove the left side trim of the luggage compartment (see "Removal and installation trunk trims").
2. After pressing the lock, disconnect the trunk lid wiring harness connector.
3. Remove the trunk trim (see "Removal and installation the trunk lid trim").
4. Use a screwdriver to pry up and remove the four wire harness holders on the left trunk lid hinge.
Helpful Hint: If you are not removing the trunk lid for replacement, mark its position relative to the hinges with a felt-tip pen.
5. Holding the trunk lid (it is best if an assistant does this), unscrew the two bolts securing the cover to the left and right hinges, then remove the trunk lid.
6. Install the trunk lid in the reverse order of removal.
7. If necessary, adjust the fit of the trunk lid by changing the height of the adjusting stops. The height of the adjusting stop is changed by screwing it in or out.
