Features of the body structure (Chevrolet Niva 1)

The Chevrolet Niva car body is five-door, load-bearing, all-metal, welded. Front and rear doors with front hinges, with drop-down windows. The rear door is a swing door with left-hand hinges.

The car's interior is equipped with two rows of seats. Front seats (see figure 8-25) have adjustment in the longitudinal direction and by the backrest tilt. The headrests of the seats are adjustable in height and tilt. To increase the area of the luggage compartment, it is possible to lay the rear seat. The driver's and passenger seats are equipped with seat belts.

The body is equipped with a dashboard, cigarette lighter, ashtrays, glove box, sun visors, heating and ventilation system, interior and exterior rear-view mirrors, front and rear towing eyes, front and rear wheel aprons.

Ventilation and heating of the passenger compartment is provided by outside air, which enters the passenger compartment through the heater. A system of flaps and air ducts supplies cold and heated air to the windshield, to the central part of the passenger compartment and to the driver and passenger footwell.
