Seat belts are an effective means of protecting the driver and passengers from the serious consequences of a road accident.
To fasten the belt, pull it out of the reel and insert tongue 1, Figure 9, into lock 2 until it clicks, without allowing the straps to twist. To unfasten the belt, press button 3 of the lock.
The front seat belts have an adjustable upper anchor point. To prevent the belt from touching your neck or pressing on your shoulder, adjust the height of the upper anchor point, and to reduce the height when moving, press the decorative belt cover against the pillar.
Rear passengers are fastened with seat belts in the same way. The middle passenger is provided with a lap belt only. Make sure that the rear lap belt fits snugly around the hips. The lap part of the belt should not be allowed to pass around the waist.
Pregnant women should always use a lap-shoulder belt if their doctor says so. The lap portion of the belt should be as low and comfortable as possible.
Warning
- When driving a car, always wear a seat belt and do not transport passengers who are not wearing a seat belt!
- Do not fasten a seat belt on a child sitting on a passenger's lap!
- Pregnant women should never place the lap portion of the seat belt over the area of the abdomen where the fetus is located or over the abdomen!
- If the straps are dirty, clean them with a mild soap solution. Do not iron the straps. The belt must be replaced with a new one if it has been subjected to a critical load in a traffic accident or has abrasions, tears or other damage.
