Adjustment of front seats, steering column, seat belts (Chevrolet Lacetti J200)

            0

The front seats of the car are equipped with adjustments, thanks to which the driver and front passenger can set them in a comfortable position.

Location of driver's seat adjustment elements: 1 — lever (bracket) for adjusting the seat in the longitudinal direction; 2 - handle for adjusting the height of the front part of the cushion; 3 - handle for adjusting the height of the rear part of the cushion; 4 — handle for adjusting the backrest angle; 5 - lumbar support adjustment handle

To move the driver's seat forward or backward, lift the bracket-shaped lever 1, located under the front part of the cushion from below, and move the seat in the desired direction.

To adjust the position of the cushion, rotate handle 2 or 3 forward (away from you) or backward (towards you). When rotating forward, the corresponding part of the cushion will rise, when rotating backward, it will fall. To adjust the position of the seat back, rotate handle 4 forward (the backrest tilt will decrease) or back (the slope will increase). By turning the handle back, you can bring the seat back to an almost horizontal position, comfortable for rest. By turning the lumbar support adjustment lever forward, we increase the degree of support, by turning it in the opposite direction, we decrease it.

The driver should not adjust the position of his seat while the vehicle is moving. This may result in loss of control of the vehicle due to sudden movement of the seat forward or backward.

Location of front passenger seat adjustment elements: 1 — backrest angle adjustment handle; 2 — seat adjustment lever in the longitudinal direction

The front passenger has the ability to adjust the seat forward or backward and change the backrest angle. The adjustment processes are similar to those for the driver's seat, except that the seat adjustment lever in the longitudinal direction has a different shape.

It is also recommended that the front passenger adjust the seat position only when the vehicle is stopped or parked.

Additional convenience for the driver is provided by the ability to adjust the steering column for reach and tilt. The lever-lock of the adjustment mechanism is located in the recess of the steering column casing at the bottom.

In this (upper) position of the locking lever, the adjustment mechanism is fixed.

To change the position of the steering wheel and steering column, move the locking lever down (it takes some effort).

The steering column can be moved up/down and forward/backward. The driver can lock it in a comfortable position by moving the locking lever to the upper position until it stops.

Do not start driving with the steering column locking lever released, or adjust the steering column while driving. This may result in loss of control of the vehicle. Do not allow the locking lever to loosen. If you feel that it moves more easily than usual or does not fully lock the steering column (it can be moved up or down when the lever is tightened), contact a service station to fix this problem.

The upper seat belt anchorages for the driver and front passenger can be adjusted in height.
