Accessories — Navigator (Chevrolet Orlando 1)

            0

Navigation systems are becoming more and more widespread, as they have an undeniable advantage over a regular map: they plot the route themselves, calculate the distance and travel time, and some, when plotting the route, take into account traffic jams that have formed at the moment, which allows them to be prudently avoided without losing extra time,

Some cars have navigation systems as an option, while others do not. But there are many companies that produce car navigators that can simply be mounted on the windshield. But when installing, remember that the navigator should not block the view and should not distract from the process of driving. Therefore, when choosing the screen size, keep in mind that a large screen will either block your view or will have to be placed in an inconvenient place and its use will distract you from driving. A screen that is too small requires more attention to see the map and, accordingly, also distracts from control.

Some cars have navigation systems as an option, while others do not. But there are many companies…

Some navigators can be used as a wireless headset for your cell phone, allowing you to take calls and talk hands-free.

Some brands of navigators also allow you to watch movies, which is very convenient and useful when parked, but is unacceptable while driving.

Recently, more and more models of navigators have appeared that are capable of plotting the optimal route taking into account traffic congestion. These navigators come with an additional antenna to receive the necessary information. It must be attached to the windshield. In cities where the problem of traffic jams is very acute, this option can be quite useful. However, in practice, such navigators are not always able to plot the optimal route and save you from wasting time in yet another multi-kilometer traffic jam. The efficiency of such navigators directly depends on the speed of adding and updating information about road congestion, as well as monitoring this situation on secondary roads (this is especially true for areas around large cities). This is precisely what not all navigation system operators can boast of. As a result, the navigator can take you around a non-existent traffic jam or, in order to bypass a traffic jam on a main road, lead you into an even worse traffic jam on a secondary road. In any case, the choice is yours, but it is quite obvious that over time this service will become more and more popular, and the quality of its work will be higher.
