Car Lifting Procedures (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Caution: To avoid vehicle damage, serious injury or death when removing major components from a vehicle while it is on a lift, support the vehicle with jack stands on the side opposite the side from which the components are being removed.

Caution: To avoid vehicle damage, serious injury or death, always use jack stands to support the vehicle when jacking it up.

Note: Perform the following steps before beginning any lifting or jacking procedure on your vehicle:

Remove or secure all vehicle contents to prevent any shifting or movement that may occur during the vehicle lifting or jacking procedure.
The rated lifting capacity of the lifting or jacking equipment must be equal to or greater than the weight of the vehicle and all vehicle contents.
Lifting or jacking equipment must comply with the performance standards of the manufacturer of such equipment.
Perform vehicle lifting or jacking procedures on a clean, hard, dry and level surface.
Perform vehicle lifting or jacking procedures only at designated lifting points. DO NOT allow lifting or jacking equipment to come into contact with any vehicle contents.

Failure to follow these steps may result in damage to the lifting or jacking equipment, the vehicle and/or the contents of the vehicle.
