Attention! To avoid vehicle damage, serious injury, or death when removing major components from the vehicle while it is on a lift, support the vehicle with jack stands on the side opposite from where the components are being removed.
Attention! To avoid vehicle damage, serious injury or death, always use jack stands to support the vehicle when jacking it up.
Note: Perform the following steps before starting any procedure to raise or jack up the vehicle:
- Remove or secure all contents of the vehicle to avoid any shifting or movement that might occur during the vehicle lifting or jacking procedure.
- The rated capacity of the lifting or jacking equipment must match or exceed the weight of the vehicle and all vehicle contents.
- Lifting or jacking equipment must meet the performance standards of the equipment manufacturer.
- Perform procedures for lifting or jacking up the vehicle on a clean, firm, dry and level surface.
- Perform procedures for lifting or jacking the vehicle only at designated lifting points. DO NOT allow lifting or jacking equipment to come into contact with any of the contents of the vehicle.
Failure to follow the described steps may result in damage to the lifting or jacking equipment, the vehicle and/or the contents of the vehicle.
