Removal the cylinder mechanism of the luggage compartment door lock (Chevrolet Lacetti J200)

We perform the work when replacing the cylinder mechanism (cylinder) of the lock. We remove the trim of the luggage compartment door (see Removal the trunk lid trim).



We move the lock rod retainer away



and we remove the rod from the hole in the cylinder mechanism lever.



Using a 10 mm head, unscrew the two nuts securing the cylinder mechanism to the outer door panel.





We remove the cylinder mechanism from the studs.

The connection between the cylinder mechanism and the door panel is sealed with a gasket.

We install the cylinder mechanism of the lock in the reverse order.
