Removal the radiator fan (Chevrolet Lacetti J200)

We remove the fan to replace its electric motor or impeller, and also when dismantling the cooling system radiator.

Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery.

Disconnect the engine control system wiring harness connector from the fan motor wiring harness connector.

Using a 10 mm socket head, unscrew the two bolts that secure the lower casing of the electric fan to the radiator… …and the two bolts that secure the upper casing.

We take out the electric fan with the casing.

Using an 8 mm open-end wrench, unscrew the nut securing the impeller to the fan motor shaft… …and remove the impeller.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws securing the electric motor to the casing.

After moving the wiring harness block, we remove it from the holder on the fan casing.

We remove the electric motor wire harness from the holders on the casing... ...and remove the electric motor from the casing.

We assemble and install the radiator fan of the cooling system in the reverse order.

During installation, we check that the chamfer on the electric motor shaft coincides… …with the protrusion in the impeller bushing.
