1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the expansion tank "Removal and installation the expansion tank").
3. Press the locking tab of the electric fan wiring harness connector...
4. ...and disconnect the connector.
5. Remove the hose connecting the radiator to the expansion tank from the holder on the electric fan shroud.
6. Remove the front bumper see. "Removal and installation the front bumper").
7. On a vehicle with an automatic transmission, remove the upper tube of the automatic transmission heat exchanger from the upper holder on the electric fan shroud...
8. ...then remove both heat exchanger tubes from the lower holder.
9. Remove the two bolts securing the power steering tube to the lower cross member of the radiator frame (for clarity, shown with the radiator diffuser removed).
10. Tie the cooling system radiator to the upper cross member of the radiator frame, then unscrew the two bolts securing the lower cross member of the radiator frame...
11. ... remove the bolts...
12. ...and remove the cross member.
NOTE: If the lower radiator mount rubber cushions are severely compressed, hardened, or torn, replace them.
13. Press the latches of the fan shroud mounting brackets and, releasing the latches first on one side and then on the other...
14. ... remove the electric fan assembly with the casing.
15. Install the electric fan of the cooling system radiator with the casing in the reverse order of removal.
