We remove the expansion tank for replacement if it is damaged.
If there is coolant in the expansion tank, we pump it out with a rubber bulb with a hose.
Using sliding pliers, we compress the ends of the clamp for fastening the steam outlet hose and slide the clamp along the hose.
Similarly, we shift the clamps for attaching the inlet hose and the fluid outlet hose from the throttle assembly heating unit.
Remove the hoses from the pipes of the expansion tank.
We recommend plugging the inlet hose after removal to avoid leakage of coolant.
With a "10" head, we unscrew the two nuts securing the reservoir to the body bracket...... and remove the expansion tank.
Install the tank in reverse order.
When installing the tank, the groove in its body must be put on a tongue welded to the mudguard cup.
Pour coolant into the tank and bring its level to normal (see Coolant replacement).
