We remove the expansion tank for replacement if it is damaged.
If there is coolant in the expansion tank, pump it out using a rubber bulb with a hose.
Using sliding pliers, squeeze the ends of the clamp securing the steam outlet hose and slide the clamp along the hose.
Similarly, we move the clamps securing the filler hose and the hose for draining liquid from the throttle assembly heating unit.
We remove the hoses from the expansion tank pipes.
We recommend plugging the filler hose after removal to avoid coolant leakage.
Using a 10 mm socket, unscrew the two nuts securing the tank to the body bracket… …and remove the expansion tank.
We install the tank in the reverse order.
When installing the tank, the groove in its body must be placed on the tongue welded to the mudguard cup.
Fill the tank with coolant and bring its level to the norm (see Replacing the coolant).
