Removal and installation the rear seat (Chevrolet Niva 1)

The rear seat is designed as two seats, each of which can be easily folded, thereby increasing the luggage compartment space.

To remove the right side of the rear seat, unscrew bolts 2, pull handle 4 (figure 8-55), lift cushion 3 and remove it.

7 - carpet of the right back of the rear seat;

9 - right back panel;
10 - screw;
11 - lock drive housing;
12 - backrest lock;
13 - lock retainer;
14 - backrest lock bracket;
15 - lock drive lever;
16 - headrest;
17 - headrest (for GLS, GLC configuration);
18 - button;
19 - left back panel;
20 - carpet of the left back of the rear seat;
21 - left backrest of rear seat;
22 - backrest mounting bracket;
23 - left rear seat cushion.


Pull the loop, unlock the lock 12 of the backrest, unscrew the screws securing the loop 6 of the backrest 8 to the crossbar 5 and remove the backrest.

To remove the left part of the rear seat, unscrew bolts 2, pull handle 4, lift cushion 23 and remove it.

Loosen the screws securing the backrest hinges to the crossbar 5, unlock the lock 12 and remove the backrest 21.

If necessary, remove panels 9 and 19 of the backrests by unscrewing screws 10 and pressing buttons 18. Install the seats in the reverse order of removal.
