Note: The work is shown for the left seat, the right seat is removed in the same way.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Move the seat forward as far as it will go. Remove the two bolts securing the guide rails to the body base.
3. Remove the lower seat belt mounting bolt.
4. Pull down and remove the lower seat belt anchor.
5. Remove the decorative trim of the lower belt mount, overcoming the resistance of its holders.
6. Move the belt to the side.
7. For ease of operation, tilt the back of the front seat as far forward as possible.
8. Pull the rear of the seat, remove the runner brackets from the holes in the base of the body and move the seat forward.
9. Open the hatch at the base of the body under the seat.
10. Slide the lock.
11. ...and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the body connector.
12. If necessary, remove the front seat head restraint.
13. Remove the seat from the vehicle interior.
14. Install the seat in the reverse order of removal. Apply anaerobic thread locker to the seat rail mounting bolts before installation.
