Disconnect the wire terminal from the "negative" terminal of the battery.
We remove the protective cap covering the nut of the brush lever.
Using the "12" wrench, unscrew the nut securing the brush lever.
We remove the lever with the cleaner brush from the shaft.
Removing the tailgate trim (see Removing the upholstery of the tailgate).
By pressing the lock of the block, we disconnect the block of wires from the motor-reducer.
Using the "10" key, we unscrew the three bolts securing the cleaner.
Remove the tailgate glass cleaner.
We take out three special bolts of fastening of a cleaner from rubber pillows.
Loosen the four screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the gear motor cover.
We take off the leash.
Pry off with a screwdriver and remove the retaining ring.
Remove the gear reducer.
If necessary, we clean the contacts and lubricate the gear and the worm of the cleaner.
We assemble and install the tailgate glass cleaner in reverse order.
To set the gear motor shaft to its original position, we connect the wire block to the gear motor. Putting the wire terminal on the "negative" terminal of the battery, turn on the gear motor with the steering column switch, then turn it off and wait for the gear motor shaft to stop. In this position, set the brush lever.
