Rear drop door



Note: The tailgate is a heavy and bulky body part. To successfully complete this procedure, at least two people must be involved.


1. Open the tailgate and prop it in this position.

2. Disconnect the wiring from the rear hatch.

3. Disconnect the support posts from the drop-down door (see subsection 22).

4. Unscrew the nuts securing the hinges of the drop-leaf door to the body (see illustration).

5. With the help of at least one assistant (it is preferable to involve two assistants) remove the drop door bolts.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Rear hatch glass



6. Disconnect the rear window defroster connector.

7. Open the drop-leaf door and remove its glass pillars (see subsection 22).

8. Close the drop-down door.

Note: Once the hinge pins have been removed, the tailgate must not be opened.


Remove the staples and pull the pins out of the hinges (see illustration). With the help of an assistant, remove the hatch glass from the vehicle.

9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that the staples are securely fixed in the grooves of the pins.
