Door window glass — removal and installation (Chevrolet Trailblazer 1)

Warning: When performing the procedure in the door cavity, it is necessary to disconnect the electrical connector of the window regulator to eliminate the possibility of the glass suddenly lowering, which could result in injury.

1. Remove the door trim panel and moisture insulation shield (see subsection 15). Remove the speaker of the acoustic system located in the door (see chapter 12).

2. Remove the tape strips from the doors.

3. Lower the glass until the clamp bolts are visible in the door opening. Use a felt-tip pen to mark the location of the window regulator clamps on the glass.

4. Loosen the window regulator clamp bolts to the point where the glass can be pulled out (see illustration).

5. Lift up and remove the glass through its opening in the door.

6. When installing, it is necessary to lower the glass into the door cavity, pull it into its original position and tighten the nuts.



7. The rest of the assembly is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Trailblaizer EXT and Envoy XL Rear Doors



8. Remove the trim panel and the door moisture insulation shield (see subsection 15). Remove the speaker of the acoustic system located in the door (see chapter 12).

9. Remove the tape strips from the doors.

10. Remove the window regulator (see subsection 19) and leave the glass at the base of the door.

11. Unscrew the bolt and remove the glass guide from the door.

12. Lift up and remove the glass through its opening in the door.

13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
