
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw securing the contact group.

We remove the contact group from the ignition switch.

By pressing the block lock, we disconnect the block of wires from the contact group..

…and remove the ignition switch contact group.
We install the contact group in the reverse order.
To replace the immobilizer control unit…

…by pressing the connector lock, we disconnect the wiring connector from the immobilizer control unit.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw securing the immobilizer control unit.

We remove the immobilizer control unit.
We install the immobilizer control unit in the reverse order.
To replace the ignition switch, insert the key into it and turn it to the ACC position. Remove the contact group. Disconnect the immobilizer control unit wiring block. Remove the steering column switches (see Removal the steering column paddle shifters, coil cable drum and switch connector).

Since the heads of two mounting bolts are torn off, we loosen them with a chisel..

…and unscrew the bolts with pliers.

We remove the bracket and the ignition switch from the steering column.

Disconnect the key insertion sensor connector from the wiring harness connector.
We remove the immobilizer control unit.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws.

We remove the key insertion sensor.
We install the ignition switch in the reverse order.
