Replacing the ignition switch (lock) contact group (Chevrolet Aveo T300)

You will need: flat- and Phillips-head screwdrivers, a special plastic mounting blade, and a TORX T20 key.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.



2. Remove the bottom...



3. ...and the upper part of the steering column cover (see "Removal and installation the steering column cover").



4. Use a screwdriver to push out the lock of the connector of the wiring harness of the ignition switch (lock).





5. Press the lock and disconnect the block from the contact group.



6. Turn the bottom...



7. ...and the upper bolts securing the contact group to the ignition switch.



8. Remove the contact group.





9. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
