Replacing the ignition switch (lock) cylinder (Chevrolet Aveo T300)

You will need: a Phillips-head screwdriver, a special plastic mounting spatula, a thin metal rod (for example, a drill).

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.



2. Remove the steering column cover see. "Removal and installation the steering column cover").



3. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to position III (starter).



4. Keeping the key turned, insert the rod (for example, a drill) into the technological hole on the lock body and press down the spring-loaded lock.





5. Remove the ignition lock cylinder from the lock housing.



6. Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
