Replacing the ignition switch (lock) contact group and immobilizer controller (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

You will need: TORX T20 key, flat-head and Phillips-head screwdrivers.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

5. Remove the cover from the ignition switch.

6. Use a screwdriver to pry...

7. ...and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the immobilizer controller.

8. Remove the immobilizer controller mounting screw (for clarity, shown on a removed steering column).

9. Remove the controller from the ignition switch.

10. Squeeze the lock...

11. ...and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the ignition switch contact group.

12. Remove the fastening screw...

14. Install the immobilizer controller and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
