Removal and installation of mounting blocks (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

You will need a 10 mm wrench.

To remove the fuse box located in the passenger compartment, follow these steps:.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2, Remove the lower instrument panel trim (see "Removal and installation the steering column").

3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuse box.

4. Raise the mounting block retainer bracket located on the instrument panel frame to position A. Move the upper part of the mounting block to position B. Raise the mounting block to position B (up and towards yourself) and remove the mounting block.



Note: For clarity, shown on vehicle with instrument panel removed.


5. Install the mounting block in the reverse order of removal.

To remove the fuse and relay box located in the engine compartment, follow these steps:.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Press the three fasteners of the mounting block cover...

3. ...and remove the cover.

4. Remove the three mounting block mounting bolts.



5. Unscrew the nut securing the wire harness to the mounting block.

6. Remove the assembly block with fuses and relays.

7. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
