Replacing the washer pump (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

You will need: a flat-blade screwdriver, a container for liquid.

Note: For clarity, replacing the washer pump is shown with the bumper removed.


1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the front left wheel arch liner.

Note: The reservoir is located in the wheel arch recess on the left side.

3. Use a screwdriver to pry...

4. ...and remove the washer pump from the reservoir, overcoming the resistance of the rubber seal.

5. Disconnect the washer hose from the electric pump fitting.

Warning: A small amount of washer fluid may leak from the disconnected hose. Place a container underneath and drain the washer fluid. We recommend that you replace the washer pump with an empty reservoir.

6. Press the lock...

7. ...and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the electric pump.

8. Install the washer pump in the reverse order of removal.
