1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. When removing the levers, mark them on the windshield in any way (for example, with scotch tape) location of the right and left brushes in the initial position of the windshield wiper. This is necessary to ensure that the brushes operate in the required area of the windshield when reinstalled.

3. Remove the levers from the wiper linkage axles (see "Replacing windshield wiper arms").

4. Remove the right...

5. ...and the left part of the air intake box grille (see "Removal and installation the air intake box grille").

6. Squeeze the wiring harness connector retainer...

7. ...and disconnect the connector from the windshield wiper motor.

8. Remove the three bolts securing the windshield wiper linkage to the body.

9. Remove the wiper trapezoid (Fig. 10.8).

10. Unscrew the crank mounting nut...

11. ...and two bolts for fastening the gear motor to the trapezoid.

12. Having remembered the position in which the crank is installed on the gear motor shaft, remove the gear motor from the windshield wiper linkage.

13. Install the gear motor and all parts in the reverse order of removal.
