Removal and installation the steering column cover (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

You will need: a punch, a TORX T50 key, a 7 mm socket, and a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the steering wheel (see "Removal and installation the steering wheel").

3. Use a screwdriver to pry up the edges of the upper steering column cover...

4. ...and move the cover away from the steering column, overcoming the elastic resistance of its holders.

5. Remove the two upper bolts...

6. ...and one lower steering column cover mounting bolt.

7. Remove the lower steering column cover.

8. Remove the lock switch cover, overcoming the force of the clamps.

9. Remove the instrument cluster (see "Removal and installation the instrument cluster") assembled with the upper steering column cover.

10. Install the steering column covers and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
