Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery.
To remove the steering column switches, turn the steering wheel

using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw that connects the upper and lower steering column covers together.
Then, turning the steering wheel in the other direction

we unscrew the second screw.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws and the screw securing the lower casing of the steering column.

We remove the lower casing of the steering column, trying not to damage the wires and instruments located behind it.

We lift the upper cover of the steering column and place it vertically on the shelf of the instrument panel in front of the instrument cluster.

Squeezing the clamps with your fingers (top and bottom), we remove the left steering column switch from the connector.

By pressing the pad locks, we disconnect the two pads of the wiring harness from the steering column switch.

Similarly, we remove the right steering column switch and disconnect the two wiring harness connectors.
We install the steering column switches in the reverse order.
To remove the drum device and the switch connector, remove the steering wheel (see Removal the steering wheel).
Remove the upper and lower steering column covers (see above).
Remove the instrument panel trim (see Removal the lower instrument panel trim). Remove the protective cover of the steering column (see Removal the instrument panel).

We block the drum device from turning by inserting a wooden pin into the hole in the drum device (you can insert toothpicks or matches).

By pressing the lock, we disconnect the block of wires of the sound signal and the control unit of the head unit of audio reproduction from the block of the wiring harness.

By pressing the block lock, we disconnect the block of wires of the drum device from the block of the wiring harness.

Bend back the wire harness holder and disconnect the second holder (shown by arrow) from the steering column bracket.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the four screws securing the drum device.

We remove the drum device from the switch connector.
We remove the steering column switches.

We unscrew the two screws securing the connector.

Remove the switch connector from the steering column.
We install the switch connector and the drum device in the reverse order. Before installing the steering wheel, we unlock the drum device by removing the wooden pin from it.
