To replace spark plugs…

…using a 10 mm socket, we unscrew two nuts and two bolts securing the engine cover…

…and we take it off.

We remove the high-voltage wire tip from the spark plug.

Using a high 16 mm spark plug head with an extension, we unscrew the spark plug…

…and we take it out of the spark plug well.
When screwing in the spark plug, it is necessary to turn the extension with a head or spark plug wrench by hand, and not with a ratchet or a handle, to avoid damaging the threads of the spark plug hole in the cylinder head.
If the spark plug is not threaded, you will feel a strong resistance to rotation. In this case, you need to completely unscrew the spark plug and, after cleaning the thread, screw it in again.
Finally, tighten the spark plug to the specified torque (see Tightening torques for critical threaded connections).
Overtightening the spark plugs can damage the threads in the spark plug holes in the cylinder head.
We check (replace) the remaining spark plugs in the same way.
