…we disconnect the engine management system wiring harness and the knock sensor wiring harness.
Using a 14 mm socket with an extension, unscrew the bolt securing the sensor to the cylinder block (for clarity, we show the operation with the intake manifold removed)…
…and remove the sensor.
Before installation, clean the cylinder block lug under the knock sensor. Install the knock sensor in the reverse order. Tighten the sensor mounting bolt to the specified torque.
