Replacing the pressure sensor (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

            0

The sensor is screwed onto a threaded fitting on the right condenser tank pipe through a shut-off valve, so when removing the sensor for inspection or replacement, there is no need to bleed the refrigerant from the system.

You will need: a flat-blade screwdriver, a 17 mm wrench.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the front bumper (see "Removal and installation the front bumper").

3. Press the lock and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor.

4. Unscrew the sensor from the threaded fitting on the pipeline.

Warning: When loosening and tightening the sensor, use a wrench of the appropriate size to prevent deformation or damage to the sensor housing.

5. Install the new sensor in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the sensor to 7 Nm.

Note: When replacing the sensor, the sealing ring on the threaded pipe fitting should be replaced with a new one and lubricated with air conditioning oil before screwing the sensor on.

6. Check the tightness and completeness of the air conditioning system with refrigerant at a specialized center for servicing automotive air conditioners.
