Removal the low oil pressure sensor (Chevrolet Lacetti J200)

We remove the sensor for replacement if it fails, to check the pressure in the engine lubrication system, and also if an oil leak appears at the junction of the sensor and the oil pump housing.

By pressing the wire connector lock..

Place a container under the sensor, because when you unscrew it, a small amount of engine oil will spill out of the hole in the oil pump housing.

Using a 24 mm open-end wrench, loosen the low oil pressure sensor..

…and we unscrew it by hand from the hole in the oil pump housing.

The connection of the sensor to the oil pump body is sealed with a copper washer.

If the sealing washer is severely deformed or worn, causing oil leakage, replace the washer.

We install the sensor in the reverse order. We check the oil level in the engine and top it up if necessary.
