Replacing fuses

The mounting block with fuses 1, Fig. 51, and relay 2 is mounted on special brackets to the left of the steering column and is closed from below by cover 3. To access the mounting block, remove its cover by unscrewing the screws. A faulty fuse is determined by the failed circuits protected by this fuse, in accordance with Table 3. The current strength for which the fuse is designed is indicated on its front side, and the fuse number is printed on the housing of the mounting block. The new fuse must have the same current marking as the one being replaced.

The layout of the relays and fuses is shown in Figure 51. The layout of the unit installed in your vehicle may differ from that shown in Figure 51.

Attention. It is strictly forbidden to install a homemade jumper or a fuse of a different rating to replace the blown one.

If the fuse fails again, you must contact a dealer of ZAO GM - AVTOVAZ to determine and eliminate the reasons that caused it to melt.

Additionally, under the instrument panel on the passenger side, there are relay blocks with fuses that protect the injection system components. The fuses have a current rating of 15 A. Two 50 A fuses protect the circuits of the electric fans of the cooling system.

The electrical circuits for ignition, engine starting, generator, low beam headlight relay, and high beam headlight relay are not protected by fuses.
