If the pressure drops even though the valve is working properly, find the air leak and repair the tire.
To avoid damaging the sealing layer of the tire bead, dismount and mount it only on a tire mounting stand in a repair shop. After mounting new tires, be sure to balance the wheels.
To ensure uniform wear of the tires, rotate the wheels according to the diagram shown in Figure 49, at the intervals specified in the Service Book.
When operating the vehicle, avoid driving over curbs and fast driving on roads with poor surfaces, as damage to the wheel rim or a torn tire cord may cause loss of its tightness and wheel imbalance. If vibrations occur while driving, check the balancing at the dealer of ZAO GM - AVTOVAZ.
The wheels must be fitted with tyres of the dimensions specified in Table 1.

Table 2. Dimensions of the wheels used
*Tire markings are located on the sidewall and are deciphered (for example, for a 205/70R15 95 Q M+S tire) as follows:
205 – tire profile width in mm;
70 – the ratio of the tire's height to its width, expressed as a percentage;
R – radial arrangement of cord threads;
15 – tire rim diameter in inches;
95 – index of permissible load capacity of the tire;
Q – speed index; Q – up to 160 km/h; S – up to 180 km/h; T – up to 190 km/h; H – up to 210 km/h; V – up to 240 km/h; W – up to 270 km/h; Y – up to 300 km/h.
M+S – means that the tire is designed primarily for snow and mud. The decoding of the indices of permissible load capacity is given in specialized literature.
**ET – distance from the mounting plane of the disc to the middle of the rim.
Warning
- The vehicle must be equipped with tires of the same model and have the same markings. When installing tires with a directional tread pattern, which can be identified by the arrow on their sidewalls, it is necessary to ensure that the direction of the arrows and the direction of rotation of the wheels match.
- Sharp acceleration and deceleration, insufficient or increased air pressure, neglect of wheel rotation according to the scheme, imbalance, driving at high speeds on poorly maintained roads, incorrectly set front wheel angles significantly reduce the service life of tires. Driving on worn tires becomes dangerous due to deterioration of road grip.
- In winter, it is recommended to use winter studded or non-studded tires.
