Replacing the absolute pressure sensor in the intake manifold (Chevrolet Orlando 1)

The need to replace the sensor is determined during diagnostics of the engine management system.

To complete the job you will need a new sensor O-ring.

1. We prepare the car for maintenance and repair.

2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

3. Press the lock...

...and disconnect the wiring harness connector.

4. Inspect the connector and make sure that there is no damage or oxidation on its terminals. If necessary, we treat the terminals with a special agent to clean and protect electrical contacts.

5. Using a 4 mm Allen key, unscrew the mounting screw and remove the sensor from the intake manifold opening. The connection between the sensor and the intake manifold is sealed with a rubber ring, which must be replaced.

6. Install the sensor in reverse order. Tighten the mounting screw to a torque of 6 Nm.
