Remove the engine cover (see Checking the condition and replacing spark plugs) and the front upper timing belt cover (see Checking the condition and replacing the timing belt).
The phase sensor mounting bolts are in a hard-to-reach place and there is a high probability of dropping them inside between the rear and lower front timing drive covers when unscrewing. Therefore, in the area of the bolts, we close the gaps between the covers with a rag.

Using a 10 mm socket with an extension, unscrew the two bolts securing the phase sensor to the cylinder head… …and remove the bolts.

We remove the sensor assembly together with the wiring harness block.

By pressing the spring clip, we disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor.
We install the phase sensor in reverse order.
