Removal the starter (Chevrolet Lanos T150)

We remove the starter for repair or replacement if it fails, as well as when dismantling the engine.

Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery.

In the engine compartment…

...using a 12 mm socket, unscrew the nut securing the tip of the ground wire to the special bolt of…


...using a 12 mm socket, unscrew the nut securing the tip of the ground wire to the special bolt of the upper starter mount and remove the tip of the wire from the special bolt.

Using a 13 mm head, unscrew the special bolt of the upper starter mount.

From below the car…

…using a 12 mm spanner, unscrew the nut securing the wire tip connected to the positive terminal of…


…using a 12 mm spanner, unscrew the nut securing the wire tip connected to the positive terminal of the battery.

We remove the wire tip from the contact bolt of the traction relay.


We remove the wire tip from the contact bolt of the traction relay.



Using a 10 mm socket, unscrew the nut securing the end of the traction relay control wire…


Using a 10 mm socket, unscrew the nut securing the end of the traction relay control wire…

…and disconnect the wire tip.


…and disconnect the wire tip.

Using a 13 mm head, unscrew the special bolt of the lower starter mount.


Using a 13 mm head, unscrew the special bolt of the lower starter mount.

We remove the starter.


We remove the starter.

We install the starter in the reverse order.
