Since the coolant temperature gauge sensor is located at the top of the engine, you can do without completely draining the coolant.
Drain a small amount of coolant through the radiator cap (see Replacing the coolant).

By sliding, we disconnect the wire tip from the sensor.

Using a high 12 mm socket, unscrew the sensor..

… and we extract it.
We install the coolant temperature indicator sensor in the reverse order.
The sensor tightening torque is 20 Nm.
Fill the cooling system with coolant and bring its level to the norm (see Replacing the coolant).
