Removal the radiator (Chevrolet Lanos T150)

We remove the radiator to check it for leaks (if a leak is suspected) or replacement if damaged.

The radiator can be removed together with the fan (fans - if there is an air conditioner) or by first dismantling the fan (fans).

We show the removal of the radiator assembly with fans.

Drain the coolant (see Replacing the coolant).

Disconnect the engine control system wiring harness connector from the main fan motor wiring harness connector (see Removal the radiator fans).

Disconnect the wiring block of the additional fan.


Disconnect the wiring block of the additional fan.

Using pliers, squeeze the clamp securing the steam outlet hose and slide it down the hose.


Using pliers, squeeze the clamp securing the steam outlet hose and slide it down the hose.

We remove the steam outlet hose from the radiator pipe.


We remove the steam outlet hose from the radiator pipe.



Using a Phillips or slotted screwdriver, loosen the clamp securing the supply hose…

…and disconnect the hose from the radiator pipe.

We disconnect the radiator outlet hose in the same way.

Using a 10 mm socket head, unscrew the two bolts securing the upper radiator support brackets to…


Using a 10 mm socket head, unscrew the two bolts securing the upper radiator support brackets to the upper radiator frame crossmember.



We remove the radiator assembly with fans from the engine compartment.


We remove the radiator assembly with fans from the engine compartment.

Remove the fans (see Removal the radiator fans).

We install the cooling system radiator in the reverse order.
