Removal and installation the front wing (Chevrolet Niva 1)

For minor damage to the wing (small dents, scratches, etc.), without removing it, straighten and paint it. After straightening, check the condition of the internal anti-corrosion coating, restore it if necessary.

In case of significant deformations or tears, replace the wing with a new one.

To remove the wing you need to:

• open and lock the hood;
• unscrew the self-tapping screws and nuts and remove the front fender apron;
• unscrew the bolts and remove the front wing shield;
• unscrew the two self-tapping screws and remove the protective cover;
• disconnect the wire terminals and remove the turn signal lamp;
• remove front bumper;
• unscrew the seven screws and remove the wing.

The wing is installed in reverse order.

Close the hood and check the position of the wing. The protrusion or recession of the wing relative to the door or hood is allowed to be no more than 2 mm, the gaps of the wing with the hood and door along the front surface should be (5±2) mm.
