Oil change (Chevrolet Niva 1)

The oil must be changed on a warm engine. To completely drain the oil, you must wait at least 10 minutes after opening the drain hole.

When changing the oil, you should also change the oil filter (see figure 2-10). When installing, tighten the filter manually.

Replace the oil in the following order:

• after stopping the engine, drain the used oil and, without removing the oil filter, fill with flushing oil up to the "MIN" mark on the oil level indicator (2.9 l). As flushing oils, you can use oils such as LADA PROMMA, TNK PROMO EXPRESS or YUTEK FAST;
• start the engine and let it run on this oil for 10 minutes at low crankshaft speed;
• drain the flushing oil completely and remove the old oil filter;
• install a new filter and fill with oil appropriate for the season of vehicle operation.
