Engine crankcase ventilation system (Chevrolet Niva 1)

            0

Forced ventilation is used to remove gases and gasoline vapors from the crankcase, which is carried out by sucking gases from the crankcase into the engine intake pipe.

Crankcase gases are sucked out through hose 1 (figure 2-75) into the intake pipe hose, and then through the throttle pipe and receiver into the intake pipe.

At low crankshaft speeds, with the throttle valve closed, the bulk of the crankcase gases is sucked through hose 2 into the throttle branch.

To flush the system, remove hose 1, cover 5 of the oil separator and flush them with kerosene or white spirit.

Blow out the intake manifold hose connection.
