You will need pliers.
Helpful Hint: Clean the engine's crankcase ventilation system before every oil change.

1. Squeeze the bent tabs of the clamp securing the system outlet hose to the air supply hose fitting, slide the clamp along the hose...

2. ...and disconnect the hose from the sleeve.

3. Squeeze the bent tabs of the clamp securing the system outlet hose to the cylinder head cover pipe, slide the clamp along the hose...

4. ...disconnect the hose from the branch pipe...

5. ...and remove the outlet hose of the large branch of the engine crankcase ventilation system.

6. Similarly, remove the hose of the small branch of the engine crankcase ventilation system.

7. Remove the cylinder head cover (see "Replacing the cylinder head cover gasket").
Helpful Hint: Replace the cylinder head cover gasket with a new one every time you remove it.

8. Wash the oil deflectors, the inner surface of the cylinder head cover and its pipe with gasoline or kerosene.
9. Install the cylinder head cover and crankcase ventilation hoses in the reverse order of removal.
