Over time, tar deposits from crankcase gases accumulate in the crankcase ventilation system of the engine, making it difficult to remove these gases into the engine cylinders for combustion. Because of this, the pressure of the gases inside the engine rises and oil leaks through the seals. To avoid this, periodically clean and flush the system.
1. Loosen the clamp that secures the air supply hose to the nozzle of the throttle assembly and remove the hose from the nozzle.
2. Move the spring retainer of the hose end of the crankcase ventilation system...
3.... and disconnect the hose from the nozzle of the throttle assembly.
4. Similarly disconnect the second tip of a hose from the union of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and remove a hose.
5. Remove the cylinder head cover (see «Replacing the cylinder head cover gasket»).
6. Wash the oil deflectors, the inner surface of the cylinder head cover and its branch pipe with gasoline or kerosene...
7....as well as the system hose.
8. Install the cylinder head cover and crankcase ventilation hose in the reverse order of removal.
