If engine oil leakage from under the cylinder head cover or engine oil leakage into the spark plug wells cannot be eliminated by tightening the cover mounting bolts, replace the cylinder head cover gasket.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the ignition coil assembly (see "Removal and installation the ignition coil unit").
3. Remove the fuel pressure pulsation compensator (see "Replacing the fuel pressure pulsation compensator").

4. Overcoming the resistance of the clamps, disconnect the engine wiring harness holder from the cylinder head cover.

5. Squeeze the retainer and disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the cover fitting.

6. Remove the eleven bolts securing the cylinder head cover.

7. Remove the cover.

8. Remove the gasket from the cover grooves.

9. Clean the cover grooves and install a new gasket in them.
10. Install the cylinder head cover in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten the cover mounting bolts evenly in a crisscross pattern to a torque of 8-10 Nm.
