Replacing the cylinder head cover gasket (Chevrolet Lanos T150)

Squeezing the clamp of the crankcase ventilation hose with pliers..



..remove the hose from the cylinder head cover pipe.



Using a 10 mm socket head, unscrew the eight bolts securing the cover.



Remove the cylinder head cover.



We remove the gasket from the groove of the cover.

Clean the mating surfaces of the cover and cylinder head from oil and dirt. Before installing a new gasket, apply a thin layer of Permatex silicone sealant to it. Install the cylinder head cover in the reverse order. Tighten the cover mounting bolts to the specified torque (see Applications).
