... from the hole located below at the junction of the clutch housing with the oil pan.
Removing the gearbox (see Removing the gearbox), "basket" and clutch disc (see Replacing the "basket" and the clutch disc).
With a marker we mark the position of the flywheel relative to the crankshaft. To prevent the crankshaft from turning, we screw the gearbox mounting bolt into the threaded hole of the cylinder block.
Using the "17" head, unscrew the six bolts securing the flywheel to the crankshaft flange. We hold the shaft from turning with a screwdriver inserted between the teeth of the flywheel and resting on a bolt screwed into the hole in the cylinder block.
We remove the flywheel.
We pry off the gland with a screwdriver and remove it from the seat.
Lubricate the working edge of the new oil seal with engine oil.
Using the old oil seal as a mandrel, press in the new oil seal.
We install the flywheel according to the previously applied marks. Before screwing in the flywheel mounting bolts, we apply Permatex Threadlocker Blue anaerobic thread locker to their threaded part. Tighten the flywheel mounting bolts to the specified torque (see Applications).
The subsequent assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
